Biography
Morris D. Linton teaches legal drafting. He completed his undergraduate work at Yale and BYU before receiving his J.D. degree in 1978 from Brigham Young University. He has also received a certificate in healthcare ethics from the University of Washington in 1990. After graduating from law school, Mr. Linton clerked with the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and with the United States Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City. In 1982, he joined the legal department at Intermountain Healthcare, where he serves as Senior Counsel. His legal practice focuses on bioethics, nonprofit corporations, computer law, and HIPAA matters. From 1994 through 2006, he served on the Utah Constitutional Revision Commission. He is a member of the Health Information and Technology Committee of the American Health Lawyers Association and of Scribes, the American Society of Legal Writers.
