Awards Nominations -- Spring 2012

Produced by the Computing Support Office (1/25/2012)

    The Purpose
Each year, the Law School honors many BYU law students for academic achievement, service to the Law School and surrounding community, and extracurricular accomplishments. The Student Bar Association also awards selected faculty members for excellence in teaching and meritorious service.

    The Process
For many of these awards, nominations are the first step in determining which students and faculty will be honored; decisions are guided by the recommendations of the Faculty-Student Awards Committee and are made final by a vote of the faculty. It is important to realize that without your nomination, an individual may not be considered for an award that he or she may deserve. For this reason, it cannot be stressed enough how essential your participation is to the nominations process.

    The Presentation
The Law School will present these awards at the Spring Banquet to be held on March 30, 2012. All law students, faculty, staff, and guests are invited.

In making nominations, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

    - You need not nominate a person for each award listed on this form.
    - You may nominate the same person for more than one award.
    - Please include a statement explaining why your nominee is deserving of the particular award.  Comments should be relevant to the specific abilities and/or characteristics the award is meant to recognize (which are included in the description for each award).
    - If you would like the Committee to contact you for more information about your nominee, please include your name on this form; otherwise, your name is optional.
    - Please include your law school year on this form.
